On the 15th of May, Mr. Xue Boren, Deputy Director of the Innovation Service Division of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, along with Mr. Li Zhengming, Director of the Yangpu District Science and Economics Commission, Deputy Director Hu Minjun, and Chief of the Science and Technology Development Division Chen Xinjian, introduced policies and related service systems for the transformation of outstanding scientific research achievements.
The n-hop team conducted an on-site visit to the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Shanghai Center and the Shanghai Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences on the 15th of May. Ms. Yang Ling, General Manager of Shanghai Cloud Base and Executive Dean of the Wujiaochang Innovation Institute, introduced to Professor Raymond Yeung and his team the comprehensive cooperation between Yangpu District and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the industrial chain ‘Chain Leader System’ in Yangpu, and the ‘Yangpu Entrepreneurship Star’ competition, among other initiatives. This initiative promotes the integration of cloud computing, edge computing, artificial intelligence, FPGA programmable chips, and smart terminals into a unified technology ecosystem.
Professor Raymond Yeung led his team to Yangpu to conduct a seminar on network coding on 15th May. During the seminar, they explained the theories and technologies behind network coding and sought market opportunities for its practical application. They also explored the innovative and entrepreneurial environment in Yangpu, Shanghai.
